GCL Group signs shareholder deals for two 100MW solar projects in Indonesia
SHANGHAI, Nov. 2, 2025 — GCL Intelligent Energy (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of GCL Energy Technology (GCLET) under GCL Group, has signed shareholder agreements for two major clean energy projects in Indonesia — the 100MW Banyuwangi ground-mounted solar project and the 100MW Gajah Mungkur floating solar project. The agreements mark another milestone in GCL’s global expansion and reinforce its commitment to advancing the global clean energy transition.
The signing ceremony took place on October 31, with Yu Xiaodong, Chief Representative of GCL Group in Indonesia, leading the GCL delegation. The agreements were signed with PLN Indonesia Power (PLN IP), a key subsidiary of Indonesia’s state-owned electricity company, Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN). Both projects are part of Indonesia’s Hijaunesia Plan, a government initiative aimed at accelerating renewable energy development and strengthening the country’s energy security.
Once completed, the Banyuwangi and Gajah Mungkur projects will supply reliable clean power to local communities and contribute to Indonesia’s goal of increasing the share of renewable energy in its national grid.
During the event, Yu Xiaodong presented GCL Group’s international business strategy and long-term development vision to Julita Indah, Vice President of PLN IP, and her delegation. Ms. Julita praised GCL’s global leadership and technical capabilities in the renewable energy sector and expressed PLN IP’s interest in expanding cooperation across multiple clean energy areas, including photovoltaics, waste-to-energy, wind power, and energy storage.
GCL Energy Technology International’s Indonesian team has maintained a strong presence in the country’s renewable energy sector for several years, earning recognition for professionalism, efficiency, and consistent project delivery. Their achievements have established a solid foundation for GCL Group’s continued international growth and reflect the company’s mission of “Bringing Green Power to Life.”
