The result lifted Real to 30 points, seven clear of second-placed Villarreal and eight ahead of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, who are level on 22 points but with a game in hand. Valencia, meanwhile, remain mired in 18th place with just nine points after a sixth consecutive league match without a win, deepening their relegation worries.

Real took control from the outset, with Mbappe and Federico Valverde testing Valencia’s defense early. Vinicius Jr and Bellingham also drew strong saves from keeper Julen Agirrezabala before the breakthrough arrived in the 19th minute. A VAR review confirmed a handball by Cesar Tarrega, allowing Mbappe to convert the resulting penalty with calm precision.

Twelve minutes later, the French forward doubled his tally, finishing a flowing move that began with a sharp through ball from Bellingham to Arda Guler, whose cross was met by Mbappe’s clinical volley at the far post.

Real’s dominance continued as Bellingham struck in the 44th minute, moments after Vinicius Jr saw a penalty saved by Agirrezabala. The English midfielder curled a low shot into the corner to make it 3-0. Substitute Alvaro Carreras added the final goal in the 82nd minute with a stunning angled strike that capped a near-perfect performance.

Mbappe now boasts 13 goals in 11 LaLiga appearances this season, and 18 across all competitions. “Mbappe is spectacular,” Valverde told Real Madrid TV after the match. “We have to enjoy him. He’s one of the best in the world and still has so much more to achieve.”

Real eased off in the second half, conserving energy ahead of Tuesday’s crucial Champions League clash against Liverpool.
