Blue Cloud Softech Solutions to co-develop Edge AI chips in India with Israel-based semiconductor firm
Hyderabad — Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited (BCSSL), an AI-driven enterprise and cybersecurity solutions provider, has announced a USD 150 million agreement with an Israel-based semiconductor design company specializing in edge computing architectures and AI accelerator designs to co-develop Edge AI chips in India.
The five-year technology ownership transfer (ToT) deal includes revenue sharing for hardware design transfer, intellectual property rights, technology integration, product development, and manufacturing setup in India.
Under the agreement, the Israel partner will provide the core hardware architecture and reference design, while Hyderabad-based BCSSL will own and develop the entire software stack — including system firmware, AI middleware, and application frameworks — to create advanced semiconductor systems powering AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) and industrial automation applications.
“By merging Israel’s globally recognized excellence in chip design with BCSSL’s leadership in AI software, we are creating a world-class Edge AI semiconductor platform that will serve industrial, defense, and critical infrastructure needs across continents,” said Janaki Yarlagadda, Chairman of Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited.
The Edge AI semiconductor platform is expected to deliver high-performance edge computing for industrial and defense-grade environments, providing real-time intelligence and secure data processing closer to the source. This will enable faster decision-making, reduced latency, optimized bandwidth, and enhanced data sovereignty at the network edge.
According to the company, this partnership will also support BCSSL’s existing USD 15 million collaboration with Byte Eclipse for Edge AI chip integration in the oil and gas sector. It is expected to extend to other industrial projects currently in development across the defense, energy, and AIoT domains.
